What Actually Happens on the Day for Wedding Photography

Wedding days move quickly and knowing what to expect from your photographer helps everything run smoothly.

Bridal preparations

This is usually the first part of the day. I capture hair and makeup, the little details and emotional moments with family and natural interactions.

Groom preparations

When possible both preparations are covered. These images add balance to the wedding gallery.

Arrival and ceremony

I arrive around 2 hours prior to the ceremony which means I can capture the venue, guests arriving and final moments before the ceremony. During the vows I work discreetly to keep the experience natural.

Confetti and family photos

Family photos are organised quickly and efficiently so they are enjoyable and not stressful. Confetti is one of the happiest moments of the day.

Couple portraits

These are relaxed, natural and guided in a way that suits you. No forced posing, just natural direction in a rare quiet moment away from the crowd.

Reception and speeches

I capture genuine reactions, laughs, tears and storytelling moments.

Evening celebrations

The first dance, sparklers, evening portraits and the atmosphere of the night bring the gallery to a strong finish.
